- Devizes: Stunning new album on the Sound of Salvation label which is a labour of love run by a pal of mine in Cheshire. This is their second release and, as expected, it is a gem. Working under the name of "Devizes" this is a Paul Kenney electronic score for an imaginary film - A stunning piece of work from beginning to end. The vinyl edition is limited to 100 copies only - highly recommended to film fans, Hitchcock, Wenders, The Omen etc. The last numbered copy of Sound Of Salvation's first release by Paul Levinson is still available.
- Dec Burke - Paradigms & Storylines: Very pleased to get a few copies of this very limited release (300 only) from Dec Burke. Selling well, great reviews, modern Prog at its very best. Catch him live in Lichfield on April 14th. Highly Recommended.
- June Tabor & Oysterband - Ragged Kingdom - More stock just in - Folk album of the year 2011 and worth buying just for their take on Joy Division' "Love Will Tear Us Apart" - Pure beauty

- LICHFIELD VINYL NIGHT
- SAT. APRIL 14th
- GEORGE IV - BORE STREET - LICHFIELD
The first live show by "Beau" in 30 years. Beau recorded for John Peel's Dandelion label and will be having a new album coming out soon. Dec Burke also confirmed. Top DJ, a man who knows his platters and who will play an exotic selection of top tunes ranging from rare Ska to Popcorn classics. Best of all, it's free, it will be packed and we are going to record the gig as well.
Iggy Pop is a Record Store Day Ambassador for 21 April and he declares at recorstoreday.com, “a person should have a personality. You won’t get one dicking around on a computer. It helps to go somewhere where there are other persons. Persons who are interested in something you are. That’s how a record store or any shop that’s got some life to it should work”. Hear hear!
